Northern kept its distance throughout the second half and a dunk from Bruns with 8:46 left in the contest gave ONU its largest lead of the evening at 60-45.

From there, BW would cut the deficit to four points on two occasions, but Burger would seal the victory in the final 22 seconds of the game, going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

Northern shot 32-of-62 (51.6 percent) from the field, including 4-of-14 (28.6 percent) from 3-point range, while Baldwin Wallace was 23-of-57 (40.4 percent) from the field and 11-of-36 (30.6 percent) from the 3-point line.
