Wednesday's Preview: Ohio Northern enters Wednesday’s contest winners of three of its last four games ... ONU has scored 100 or more points in its last two home games for the first time in 45 years and the first time ever at the ONU Sports Center ... The 1970-71 Runnin’ Polar Bear squad coached by Larry Michael accomplished the feat with a 101-79 victory over Wayne State and a 118-91 victory over Rio Grande at old Taft Gym on ONU’s campus ... ONU has also scored 90 or more points in three straight home games for the first time since 1979-80, when ONU opened its season by scoring 92, 95, 99, and 100 points in its first four home games ... ONU is coming off an 89-83 loss at #25-ranked Mt. Union on Saturday ... Junior Aron Thress scored a team-high 21 points, juniors Konnor Baker and Joey Hurless added 13 points and 11 points, respectively, while sophomore Joey DiOrio chipped in 12 points ... Through 21 games this season, Thress leads the team in scoring with a 16.9 ppg average and in rebounding with a 6.6 rpg average ... Allen is second in scoring at 12.0, Baker is third at 10.8 ppg and freshman Ryan Bruns is fourth at 10.5 ... Hurless leads the NCAA and the OAC with 171 assists, which ties ONU’s single-season assist record set by Kevin Sensabaugh in 1998-99 ... Hurless is also seventh all-time at ONU with 328 career assists ... Heidelberg is coming off a 102-72 home victory over Muskingum on Saturday ... Maurice Hunter had a career-high 15 points and added eight rebounds off the bench for HU ... DeAvery Collins (14 points), Marcquice Taylor (11), Chris Moxley and Myron Prewitt (10 each) also were in double figures. ... Kiere Bennie and Collins lead HU in scoring this season at 13.9 ppg and 10.9 ppg, respectively ... Jackson Blue also averages a team-best 5.3 rebounds per game.
