ADA — Senior Isaiah Roux scored 12 points and sophomore Joey Hurless added 11 points to lead Ohio Northern in a 72-62 men's basketball loss to No. 9-ranked Marietta Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears fall to 6-7 overall and are 1-5 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Pioneers remain undefeated at 13-0 and are 6-0 in OAC play.
Dillon Young led four Marietta players in double figures in scoring with 18 points.
After a slow start, Northern went on a 14-0 run to take an early 18-14 lead.
But the Pioneers would end the half on a 14-4 run to lead 41-32 at intermission.
ONU would not get within seven points in the second half and Marietta was able to maintain its advantage.
The Polar Bears forced 16 Pioneer turnovers while only committing seven themselves.
