Second half effort by Ohio Northern men's basketball team comes up short as they fall to Capital 75-59

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's basketball team fell to Capital 75-59 Saturday at the ONU Sports Center.
The Polar Bears fall to 5-3 overall, 1-3 Ohio Athletic Conference, while Capital improves to 4-5 overall, 2-1 OAC.
Senior Isaiah Roux led the way for Northern, scoring a game-high 22 points and dishing out a team-high three assists.
After a dominate first half by Capital, the Polar Bears started the second half with a 10-0 run to take the lead 40-35 for the first time since the 15 minute mark in the first half.
Capital returned with a 7-0 run of its own to regain the lead 42-40.
A jumper from senior Lucas Pennington minutes later locked the game at 44 all.
Capital would go on to control the remainder of the half as the Crusaders put together a 12-0 run to close out the contest.
Capital finished the second half shooting 60% from the field and 44.4% from behind the arc, while the Polar Bears shot just 42.3% from the field and 0% from behind the arc.
Ohio Northern senior Jordan Martin had 10 points in the contest and Pennington added 7 points.
The Polar Bears dominated the paint out scoring Capital 36-28.
Ohio Northern is next in action Saturday December 20th as they travel to Muskingum for a 3 pm contest.
