Freshman Alex Radkiewicz scores a career-high 13 points to lead Men's Basketball against Wilmington

ADA — Senior Dominique Royal led a group of five Ohio Northern players in double figures in a 91-80 men's basketball loss to Wilmington Wednesday night at the ONU Sports Center 91-80.
The Polar Bears fall to 8-8 overall and 4-5 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the Quakers improve their record to 10-5, 7-2.
Royal led ONU with 17 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the floor.
Junior Jordan Martin added 14 points and two steals, freshman Alex Radkiewicz recorded a career-high 13 points, senior Branden Rushton scored 11 points and senior Jared Horstman added 10 points and a team-high seven rebounds on the night for ONU.
Malcolm Heard II led Wilmington, recording a double-double with game-highs of 28 points and 10 rebounds.
Radkiewicz connected on a 3-point play to tie the game at 56-all with 12:32 left in the game.
But the Quakers would answer with an 11-0 run over the next 3:45, to take a 67-56 lead with 8:47 to play.
Northern would pull within 74-69 on a basket by Horstman with 3:34 left, but WC would make 11-of-12 free throws the rest of the way to ice the game.
The Polar Bears got started quickly by scoring the game's first seven points to lead 7-0 just two minutes into the contest.
The Quakers would chip away at the lead and take a 38-36 lead going into the half.
ONU finished the game shooting 29-of-63 (46.0 percent) from the field and only 1-of-20 (5.0 percent) from beyond the three point mark. Wilmington would finish the game shooting 26-of-55 (47.3 percent) from the field and 6-of-16 (37.5 percent) from beyond the arc.
Wilmington won the rebounding battle 38-32.
The Polar Bears will be back in action Saturday as they host John Carroll at 3 pm at the ONU Sports Center.
