Legendary head coach Gale Daugherty to coach in NABC Division III All-Star Game

ADA — Legendary Ohio Northern head men's basketball coach Gale Daugherty will serve as the coach of the West team in the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division III College All-Star Game on Saturday in Salem, Va.
The game features 20 seniors from NCAA Division III schools across the country and will tip-off Saturday, March 17, at 4:30 pm at the Salem Civic Center prior to the championship game of the NCAA III Tournament.
In 20 seasons as head basketball coach at Ohio Northern, Daugherty compiled a 310-218
record and is the winningest coach in school history.
His teams won three OAC Championships, had four NCAA tournament appearances and Daugherty was selected as OAC Coach of the Year three times.
Whileat ONU, his teams led all Division III teams in defense on three occasions, and were ranked in the top 10 nationally 13 times.
This marks the second time in the three-year history of the event that ONU has been represented in the game.
Kyle Meyer, who is currently with the Lima Explosion of the American Basketball Association, played in the inaugural game in 2010.
