Football picked to finish fifth in 2021 OAC Coaches poll

ADA — Ohio Northern was picked to finish fifth in the 2021 Ohio Athletic Conference Football Coaches Poll, the league announced on Wednesday.
Northern garnered 48 points in the poll.
Mount Union was selection as the favorite with 81 points and nine first place votes.
John Carroll was picked to finish second with 73 points and one first place vote, Heidelberg was picked third with 64 points, Marietta was picked fourth with 52 points and Baldwin Wallace was picked sixth with 43 points.
Coaches do not vote or their own teams on the balloting.
The Polar Bears finished the 2020-21 season with a 3-1 record, finishing second in the OAC West Divison.
Ohio Northern opens the 2021 season on Sept. 4 at home against Denison at 6 p.m. at Dial-Roberson Stadium under 18th-year head coach Dean Paul.
