Seven named Academic All-OAC in Football for 2015

ADA — Seven members of the Ohio Northern football team were named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference for the 2015 season.
Senior Connor Devine, Matt Chaney and Rody Seballos and sophomores Cyler Caldwell, Landry Hostetler, Carter Kemper and Sam Shook all earned the award.
Devine is a four-year starter at long snapper and is also the back-up quarterback for the Polar Bears.
He is making his second appearance on the Academic All-OAC team.
This season, Devine is 5-of-6 passing for 40 yards and is 30-of-41 passing for 310 yards and three TDs in his career.
Chaney is a three-year starter as a placekicker, handling kickoffs and long field goals for the past two seasons.
He is also a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree.
Chaney is 3-for-6 on field goals this season, which includes a pair of 46-yarders.
In his career, Chaney is 6-of-16 with a long of 49 yards and has scored 40 kicking points.
Seballos is a three-year starter at left tackle and is a three-time Academic All-Conference award winner.
He has played in 33 games with 31 career starts.
All four of the sophomores are making their first appearances on the Academic All-OAC team.
He was named First Team All-Conference this season.
Caldwell has played in 10 games as a reserve corner back and is a regular on special teams.
He has nine tackles (seven solo) and has recovered a fumble this Fall.
Hostetler played in two games at safety before an injury ended his season prematurely.
In his two seasons at ONU, Hostetler has three tackles and a blocked punt in eight career games.
Kemper is a two-year regular on the two-deep at offensive tackle.
He has appeared in one game at tackle.
Shook has started all 10 games at right tackle for the Polar Bears in 2015.
He has appeared in 11 games in his career after spending much of his freshman season on the two-deep.
The Polar Bears are 8-2 overall and finished second in the OAC with a 7-2 league record in 2015 under 12th-year head coach Dean Paul.
