Football lands six Academic All-OAC honorees

ADA — Six Ohio Northern student/athletes were named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference in football for the 2014 season.
Seniors Kevin Rahill and Michael Howell, juniors Matt Chaney and Rody Seballos, and sophomores Clayton Miller and Nick Rezek all received the honor.
The award winners must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have a cumulative grade-point-average of at least 3.50.
Rahill earns his second Academic All-OAC honor.
The mechanical engineering major saw action in three games this season at kicker for the Polar Bears.
Howell started in all 10 games on the offensive line this season.
The mechanical engineering major earns his first Academic All-OAC accolade.
A four-year letterman, he started 27 games in his career. He is also a multi-year member of the Ohio Northern Football Unity Council and has made the Dean's List five times in his first six semesters at ONU.
Chaney, a Biology/Pre-Dental major, also earns his first Academic all-OAC accolade.
The junior is a three-year letter winner as a kicker for ONU. He saw action all 10 games this season.
Seballos is a three-year letter winner for the Polar Bears at offensive line.
This is his first Academic All-OAC honor.
Miller, a pharmacy major, earns his first Academic All-OAC accolade. He plays the defensive back for the Polar Bears.
Rezek is a two-year letter winner for ONU at the defensive back position. The mechanical engineering major also earns his first Academic All-OAC honor.
The Polar Bears ended their season with a 7-3 record and finished fourth in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 6-3 mark under 11th year head coach Dean Paul.
