Esports Overwatch team defeats Ohio State 3-1 in semifinals of Ohio NCE tournament

ADA — Ohio Northern knocked off Ohio State 3-1 in the semifinals of the Ohio National Collegiate Esports tournament on Thursday night.

The Polar Bears won the first game of the best-of-5 series, only to see the Buckeyes win game two to tie it at 1-1.

Northern won the third game in overtime to go up 2-1 and held off a furious OSU rally in game four to win the final game 1-0, taking the match.

The Polar Bears will play in the finals next week in a day and time to be determined.
