Baseball continues spring break trip with 7-3 loss to No. 14-ranked Rowan (N.J.)

AUBURNDALE, Fla. — The Ohio Northern baseball team dropped a 7-3 decision to No. 14-ranked Rowan (N.J.) on day five of its annual spring break trip on Wednesday morning.
The Basics

Game Highlights
- Junior Joey Kennedy (Sterling Heights, Mich./Foley Catholic) and freshman Kyler Lapp (Hall, Ill.) each had two hits to lead Northern's 8-hit attack.
- The Profs took a 2-0 lead with a pair of runs in the bottom the second.
- Northern rallied to take a 3-2 lead with a 3-run fifth inning.
- Lapp doubled home Kennedy with the first run and came home to tie the game at 2-2 on a double by senior Logan Stevens (Plain City/Alder).
- Junior Andrew Stechschulte (Findlay) hit a sac fly to score Stevens with the go-ahead run.
- Rowan immediately answered with four runs in the bottom of the frame to regain the lead at 6-3.
- RU added an insurance run in the seventh to cap the scoring.

- This is the sixth of 10 games for Ohio Northern during its annual spring break trip.
