Baseball pounds out 20 hits in 13-5 victory over Utica (N.Y.)

AUBURNDALE, Fla. — The Ohio Northern baseball team pounded out a season-high 20 base hits and posted a 13-5 victory on day four of its annual spring break trip on Tuesday afternoon.

Game Highlights
- Juniors Sam Sells (Lewis Center/Olentangy Orange) and Andrew Stechschulte (Findlay) and freshman Kyle Callahan (Brunswick) each had three hits for the Polar Bears.
- Callahan was 3-for-4 with a triple, four runs scored and three RBI to lead the trio.
- Steschulte was 3-for-4 with a double, three runs and an RBI and Sells finished 3-for-5 with a double, a run and an RBI.
- Sophomore Chase Armstrong (Louisville, Ky./Trinity) also had three RBI.
- Northern took control of the game early, scoring four times in the bottom of the second, three times in the third and twice more in the fourth to grab a 9-0 lead.
- Junior Joe Tootle (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) got the win on the mound to improve to 1-0. He threw 5.0 innings, allowing five hits and no earned runs while striking out five.
- Senior Kaidan Domer (Orrville) threw 3.0 innings with seven strikeouts to pick up his first save of the season.
