Junior Corey McMann leads list of 7 Polar Bears named All-OAC in Baseball for 2021

ADA — Junior Corey McMann (Flower Mound, Tex./Liberty Christian) leads a list of seven Ohio Northern baseball players to be named All-Ohio Athletic Conference for 2021 in voting conducted by the league's 10 head coaches.
McMann was named First Team All-Conference after hitting .350 with a school record 20 doubles and a team-best 55 hits and 6 home runs while starting all 36 games in right field.
Senior James Fisher (Castalia/Margaretta) and juniors Chayten Overholt (Van Wert/Lincolnview) and Tom Pitko (Youngstown/Austintown-Fitch) were all selected to the Second Team and seniors Nate Bye (Thorntown, Ind./Western Boone) and Michael Rocco (Davenport, Fla./Zionsville (Ind.)) and sophomore Jacob Wenning (Coldwater) were Honorable Mention All-OAC award winners.
McMann ranks 9th all-time in ONU history with 30 career doubles in 86 games. He also has career numbers with a .330 batting average, 112 hits, 9 HRs, 71 RBI and a .504 slugging percentage.
Fisher went 5-1 with one save and a team-best 2.45 ERA in his first season as a starting pitcher.
He is 7-2 with three saves and a 2.89 ERA in 33 career appearances.
Overholt led the team with a .382 batting average and tied McMann for the team lead with 55 hits in 35 games at shortstop.
In 68 career games, he has a .320 batting average with 73 hits and 31 RBI.
Pitko was 7-3 with a 2.54 ERA and led the team with 40 strikeouts in 63.2 innings in his first season as a starting pitcher this spring.
He is 8-3 with a 2.44 ERA and 42 career strikeouts in 12 appearances.
Bye is a three-time All-Conference honoree as a pitcher, earning First Team honors in 2019 and Honorable Mention All-OAC kudos in 2018 and 2021.
This season, he was 4-2 with a 4.75 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 55.0 innings.
In his five seasons at ONU, Bye is 14-8 with a 3.69 ERA and is 15th in ONU history with 145 strikeouts.
Rocco was second on the team with a .369 batting average in 30 games at second base. he also tied for the team lead with seven stolen bases in eight attempts.
In four seasons as a Polar Bear, Rocco has a .365 average with 110 hits, 66 runs and 56 RBI in 102 career games.
Wenning was third on the team with a .351 batting average while playing in 32 games at third base.
He will enter this third season at ONU next year with a .338 batting average, 28 runs and 25 RBI in 39 career games.
The Polar Bears were 21-15 overall and finished third in the OAC with a 20-11 record under 10th-year head coach Gene Stechschulte.
