GRANVILLE — No. 23-ranked Ohio Northern baseball team dropped a 10-3 decision at Denison on Tuesday at Big Red Field.
The Polar Bears fall to 14-3, while the Big Red improve to 7-7.
Northern got on the board first when freshman Dan McMullen singled home senior Dan LaMarca in the top of the first inning.
Freshman Shane Henefield made it 2-0 when he scored on a DU error in the fifth inning.
Denison rallied for four runs in the bottom of the sixth to grab a 4-2 lead.
But senior Brady Foley quickly answered for ONU when he led off the top of the seventh with a solo home run to make it 4-3.
But Denison scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and made that 10-3 lead stand up for the win.
McMullen went 2-for-5 with an RBI to lead ONU's 7-hit offensive attack.
The Polar Bears will return home on Wednesday to host Mount Saint Joseph in a 4 pm contest at Wander Field.
