Baseball drops 4-3 contest to Kenyon

FORT MYERS (Fla.) -- Junior Brady Foley collected three hits, but the Ohio Northern baseball team fell to Kenyon by a 4-3 score on Friday afternoon at the Gene Cusic Classic.
The Polar Bears drop to 4-3 on the season, while the Lords improve to 4-2.
Sophomore Andy Lubonovic collected two hits and sophomore Clay Small went 2-for-4 with a RBI.
Kenyon jumped on the board in the second inning on a solo homer.
ONU scored three times in the fourth inning, to jump in front 3-1.
Sophomore Nick Guitar led off the inning with a single and came around to score on a RBI double by sophomore Nick Eltzroth.
Small followed a double of his own to score Eltzroth, putting Northern up 2-1.
A few batters later, sophomore Derek Lenardos reached on an error to score Eltzorth.
Kenyon would plate a single run in the fifth and get a two run double in the seventh to take the 4-3 lead.
Northern would threaten in the ninth, but could not push a run across.
Sophomore Ben Eckert went five innings, surrendering two runs in five innings, picking up a no-decision.
Josh Jacobvitz pitched a complete game for Kenyon, striking out five batters.
Ohio Northern will close out its spring trip on Saturday, with games against Dominican (Ill.) at 9 am and North Park (Ill.) at noon.
