All-American Jackie (Mangola) Price set what is believed to be a NCAA softball record when she reached base safely in an incredible 27 consecutive plate appearances from April 3-12, 2011.
She was 10-for-10 batting, was walked 15 times and was hit by pitch twice during that span. She also hit 7 home runs and had 15 RBI in those 8 games.
Price's streak is more than the NCAA Division I record of 26 set in 2017 by Amber Schisler of Campbell. There is currently no official record in Divisions II and III.
She was named First Team All-America and Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Year at second base in 2010 and 2011.
Price is ONU's all-time career home run leader with 45 from 2009-12, which includes an impressive 21 dingers in 2011.
She also holds the school record with 417 total bases, is second with 179 RBI and 44 doubles, is third with 172 runs scored and is fourth with 222 base hits.
