Scott Bush became the Ohio Northern baseball team's all-time hits leader, going 5-for-5 in Game 2 of a sweep of Capital on April 1, 2001.
Bush ended his career with 197 hits, which is still the ONU record 19 seasons later.
He is the school's career leader with 46 doubles and he was a .342 career hitter.
Bush surpassed the previous record of 175 set by Rob Weber from 1984-87.
He tied the record with a single to center as part of an 8-run inning in the bottom of the fourth and broke it with a sharp single to right field in the bottom of the fifth in a 14-7 Polar Bear victory.
