Player-coach Maurice Pfeifer won a school-record 33 consecutive men's tennis singles matches from 1956-59.
Pfeifer ended his career with a 43-2 record and was a 4-time Mid-Ohio League singles champion.
In four seasons as player-coach, he led the Polar Bears to a 24-5-1 record and the 1956, 1957 and 1959 Mid-Ohio League team titles.
He was also a center on the ONU football team for three years and served as co-captain his senior season.
